Comedian and Orthopedic Institute connection...?,Yes, I am not Joking?.
The comedian Larry the Cable Guy and his family donated US$5 million to develop a Orthopedic Institute, that is a very good gesture Larry!!. The science and medical research funding has been deteriorating over the years, feds are chopping off the level of funding every year which are allocated for research. Reducing funding over a longer period is going to hurt the innovation and discovery in science/medicine fields, even the third world countries are making better progress in areas like stem cells and regeneration but US science is struggling due to funding issues and regulatory policy issues that restrict certain research fields from making progress. What Larry is doing is the kind of support needed, those who have enough money can initiate development funding like yours, and it is for a great cause.
pretty touching video with childrens and kids...
